Empowering Voices (Rialto Network Spectrum Ch. 3) interviews Pathway from Boy
to Men founder, James Randolph and Director, LaKeisha Bearden, about the ongoing
programs Pathway from Boys to Men has created as well as their recent honor for
being selected as California Nonprofit of the Year in Sacramento by Assembly
Member Freddie Rodriguez of the 52nd District. PFBTM offers job career programs
in construction and also basic pre-job training and assistance in training and
resume writing and has been active in the Inland Empire for over 14 years.
The event included an opening prayer from Pastor Dr. Joshua Beckley, Ecclesia Christian Fellowship, Congratulatory Remarks by City of Fontana Mayor, Acquanetta Warren, and our Key Note Speaker, Mr Terrance Stone, CEO/Founder of Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy.
PFBTM will also honor City of Fontana Mayor Acquanetta Warren, Zill Oforiatta Black Employee Network at Amazon, Mike Davis, CEO & President of You Go International Network, Kim Carter Founder of Time for Change Foundation, Alice Smith Restoration House of Refuge, Matt Dickerson, Fleet Logistics Manager for Enterprise Holdings Foundation, Steve Sutherland, PFBTM Volunteer (2018-2023) and Ronald Dale Evans, Sr. Consultant Unity For Service. These outstanding community partners have been integral to Pathway From Boys To Men, Inc.'s 18-year journey. Their participation in various PFBTM programs, outreach events, and fundraising events has allowed us to provide life skills, career training, and resources to those looking for self-sustaining career opportunities in trade school, college, and other vocational occupations.
Pathway From Boys To Men, Inc. is also excited to announce that we will be awarding two scholarships to San Bernardino County residents who have demonstrated dedication, determination, and resilience to achieve their goals despite the current state of our environment.

In June 2019 Pathway from Boys to Men, Inc. was honored
in Sacramento & selected as California Nonprofit of the Year by Assembly
Member Freddie Rodriguez of the 52nd District.
We also met with Refresh and Renew, portable shower that would benefit the underserved
community.
On June 16 we met with Keith of AGC getting information on apprenticeship programs
while working and next Introduction to Construction Workshop will be June 27th
at Catholic charitie office in San Bernardino.

Pathway From Boys To Men Inc.
On March 31, 2019, Pathway from Boys to Men (PFBTM) met with
supporters and community members at their annual Coffee, Cake and Conversation
fundraising event. The event raised over five hundred dollars. Proceeds will be
used to continue our goal to bring awareness to construction, vocational careers,
and Life Skills in San Bernardino County.
Pathway's Board of Directors received Certificate of Recognition

District.

Pathway From Boys To Men Inc.
Pathway from Boys to Men (PFBTM) held our 2nd Life Skills series
of the year on September 11th, 2018. The 8 hours Life Skills series stretched
over 3-days and covered Anger Management, Time Management, Personal Hygiene &
Appearance, and Communication. The classes were designed to address the common
employment barriers disadvantaged communities face.
Graduates were awarded a Certificate of Completion and professional
resume. They were also referred to Southwest Carpenters Union Training, My Brothers
Keeper Program and provided with gloves and safety glasses. "Construction
is a trillion dollar industry and we want our community to be apart of this hidden
jewel, which will create local economic development opportunities" explained
James Randolph. "Our goal is to bring awareness to construction careers as
well as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to our youth. We're
not afraid to go out to the community and share this information, that's what
pathway is all about" said James.

Local 944 Inland Empire (02/15/18)
On Thursday, February 15th, Pathway From Boys To Men (PFBTM)
announced their partnership with Southwest Carpenters Local 944. "We're excited
about this opportunity, this means, tangible career opportunites for San Bernardino
County residence" say, James Randolph. PFBTM will serve as a resource partner
to Southwest Carpenters Local 944, to provide Life Skills classes for the residence
of San Bernardino County.
"With the boom in San Bernardino County infrastructure
upgrades, our partnership with Southwest Carpenters Local 944 allows our residence
the opportunty to invest in their communites by creating local economic development
for our disadvantage communites" says, James Randolph. According to Associated
General Contractors of America, Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, added the most
construction jobs during the past year (14,300 jobs, 15 percent) and PFBTM hopes
to add to these numbers by continuing to bring awarness of construction careers
to disadvantage communities in San Bernardino County.
PFBTM would like to thank the Fontana Mayor, Acquanetta Warren,
for her support at last Thursday's workshop. We also want to thank Southwest Carpenters
for their continued support of Pathway's mission and our recent partnership. A
special thank you, to those who attended, we look forward to working with you
and creating a pathway for future growth and success.

President, Priscilla Chavez, CCA (10/19/17)
Our October Workshop was lead by women in construction. Women are also the
cornerstone of our workforce and we want to encourage them to consider a career
in construction. Both PCL Construction and Los Angeles Urban League drove home
the message that the construction industry is looking for women and women are
welcomed in construction.
PFBTM would like to thank our program partner Catholic Charities for the utilization
of their classroom space and food donations. We also want to thank Priscilla Chavez
Diversity & Inclusion Manager with PCL Construction as well as Marie Antoinette
Manuel-Esguerra with the Los Angeles Urban League for their knowledge and expertise

Pathway From Boys To Men Inc.
On February
14, 2012,Pathway from Boys to Men (PFBTM) volunteer group
worked with Edible Arrangements, located in the city of Fontana, during
one of the biggest holidays of the year.
The volunteer group is one of PFBTM's mentor programs that consist of students
from local colleges in the community who are introduced to different skills that
can lead them to part time/full time jobs while they continue their education.
